A mega charity project by Lodge Cheran No.395 and Lodge Siruvani No.394, Coimbatore in association with the Rotary Foundation &Rotary clubs of Coimbatore was launched by R.W.Bro.T.N.Manoharan, the Regional Grand Lodge of Southern India on 23rd March 2023 to the tune of 1.25 cores for setting up of fully fledged state of art operation theater and an Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) at Masonic Medical Centre for Children, Race course, Coimbatore
In the esteemed presence of Mr.M.Ganesh Kumar, Trustee & Hon. Secretary, Mr.P.Muthumaanickam, Treasurer and Trustees Mr.G.Soundararajan & Mr.K.Soundhara Rajhan, this mega project was lauched.
Donation of a life saving equipment- 06.03.2023
The Regional Grand Lodge of Southern India Charitable Trust has donated a Medical Equipment namely “Harmonic Scalpel – EES Generator GEN11” to Coimbatore Masonic Children’s Hospital at a cost of Rs. 26.00 lakhs.
The said medical equipment is used in the surgery of patients. The equipment with Harmonic Synergy blades use high-frequency mechanical vibration to simultaneously cut and coagulate, sealing vessels at lower temperatures than electro surgery resulting in minimal lateral thermal tissue damage for safer dissection near vital structures.
The said medical equipment was handed over and dedicated to Coimbatore Masonic Children’s Hospital by M W. Bro. Anish Kumar Sharma, OSM, Grand Master of India on 06.03.2023 in the presence of R W Bro. Vinjamur Govindaraj Madhusudan, P Dy GM, the RW the Regional Grand Master of the Regional Grand Lodge of Southern India and also in the presence of R W. Bro Thotala Narayanaswamy Manoharan, P Dy GM, the Regional Grand Master designate of the Regional Grand Lodge of Southern India.
